God put something extra special into flowers during creation. Flowers have the special power of lifting one’s spirit and bringing joy to just about any occasion. We use them for weddings, anniversaries, funerals, special dinners and various other celebrations. Even a single flower in a glass of water can change the ambience and mood of a room. As long as I can remember, I’ve loved flowers. When I was a little girl, I was in awe of wild flowers and would often pick a few for our home. My grandmother always kept a red geranium by the window in her kitchen and I often wished it would grow into something big enough to produce enough flowers for the world.
Much of my life has been spent on the road traveling with our family music ministry so it was next to impossible to maintain a flower garden. Once I married Keith and began spending more time at home, I was finally able to have my very own flower garden. While I’m far from an expert, I enjoy trial and error flower gardening and have discovered some beautiful flowers along the way. Its incredibly satisfying to create flower arrangements for our home or as a gift to others from my own garden. We enjoy spending time on our porch which is surrounded with flower gardens. The flowers bring a sense of joy and peace reminding me of God, the architect of nature.
